VAILLANT (ISAAC), and (PAUL I), booksellers in London, over against Bedford Street in the Starnd, 1705–50. Sons of François Vaillant. Isaac went to Rotterdam for a few years prior to 1726 in connexion with his foreign business. He retired in 1750 and died in 1753. Paul I was publisher of La Distribution de la Somme (the lists of grants to poor refugees) from 1705–8. A copy is in the Guildhall Library.
