RICHARDSON (JOHN), printer in London, near the Mitre Tavern, Fenchurch Street, 1675–1703. His name is first met with in the list of London printing houses of 1675 as one of those who had set up since the Act was in force. He printed the 1685 edition of Cocker's Arithmetick for Passinger and Lacy. He also printed for Dunton, who speaks of him [p. 250] as being then (in 1703) a man "pretty much up in years; however his young inclinations are not altogether dead in him; for I am informed his son and he have married two sisters". He was Under-Warden of the Company in 1696–7.
