Anne Maxwell, printer, in Thames Street near Baynards Castle, 1657–1684. Widow of Thomas Maxey, printer (d. 1657), whose shop near St. Benet Paul's Wharf she inherited. Like her husband Thomas, she printed for William Weekly, the Ipswich bookseller. Widow of David Maxwell, printer (d. 1664).

MAXWELL (ANNE), printer in London; Thames St. near Baynards Castle, 1665–75. Widow of David Maxwell. In the survey made on July 29th, 1668, she is returned as having two presses, no apprentices, three compositors and three pressmen. [Plomer, Short History, p. 227.]
