WILLIAMSON (JOHN), bookseller in London, (i) Sun and Bible, or Bible, next the Golden Cock, on London Bridge, 1670–8; (2) Cannon Street, 1677. 1670–78. Began to publish in 1670, when he issued Wingate's Arithmetic. [T.C. I. 60.] He was also the publisher of Hans Bloome's Description of . . . . Architecture in 1674. [T.C. I. 166.] He was succeeded at the house on London Bridge by Stephen Foster in 1679. The Cannon Street address appears with the other on one imprint of 1677. [T.C. I. 279.]
