Joseph Bouquet, bookseller and publisher, 1749–1780; at the White Hart in Paternoster Row (no. 18), 1752–1755. For some years (1750–1780) he was in partnership with John Payne.

BOUQUET (J.), bookseller and publisher in London, White Hart, Paternoster Row, 1753–4. For some years in partnership with John Payne. They were the publishers of William Lauder's attack on Milton, which was founded on forged documents. A letter from the publishers is printed in vol. Iv of the Monthly Review, p. 99. His name is found in the imprints to several anti-Jewish pamphlets, published at this time. [B.M. T. 2231 (17).] In 1754 he published one of the many pamphlets that appeared in defence of the conduct of the Rector and Fellows of Exeter College, Oxford. [B.M. 517. g. 2 (3).]
