Portrait based on a painting by Gainsborough, 1768. The print was created as a frontispiece for "Letters of the late Ignatius Sancho, an African, in two volumes. To which are prefixed, Memoirs of his Life." First published in 1782, it was reprinted in 1802. This print comes from the 1802 issue.
