A Dictionary of the Printers and Booksellers who were at work in England, Scotland and Ireland from 1726 to 1775, by Henry Plomer et al. (1932)

BROWNE (DANIEL), bookseller in London, (1) Black Swan without Temple Bar, (2) Crane Court, Fleet Street, 1744. 1672–1753. See Dictionary, 1668–1725. It is evident that there was more than one publisher of this name at the Black Swan, possibly father and son, the latter moving to Crane Court in 1744 and continuing there until 1753, when with those other publishers, his name is found in the imprint to Whistun's Sacred History of the World.
