Stage-scene from Johnson’s play The Blazing Comet. Lord Wildfire in the center plays a violin while standing on stilts. A copy of the print in the British Museum has pencilled on verso:: “Mr Johnson in Ld Wildfire in Blazing Comets wrote by Mr Johnson author of Hurlothrumbo 1732. Lady Flame in the Balcony by Mrs Haywood.”
