Red Lion Court
East out of Minories, west of Morley's Court (P.C. 1732–O.S. 25 in. 1880). In Portsoken Ward.
On the boundary of the Ward (Strype, ed. 1720, I. ii. 26).
Former names: "Red Lyon Alley," 1658 (Midd. Sess. Rolls, III. 273–Rocque, 1746). "Red Lion Alley" (Hatton, 1708–Strype, 1720).
It is differently planned in the earlier maps, running east and west, instead of north and south as in the O.S.
Site is now covered by Railway goods' depôts.
