Vinegar House. In Shoreditch, northeast of Upper Moorfields. The house is shown in Moll and Bowles' London surveyed (1736), and in "Mr. Witanoom's Vinegar Yard" in Roque's Survey of London, Westminster & Southwark (1746).

A few Days ago was interr'd in the Family Vault, the Remains of Cornelius Wittenoom, Esq; Vinegar Merchant, of St. Leonard Shoreditch, in the 71st Year of his Age.—London Evening Post November 9–11, 1756.
