Note
Not in fact a genuine report of the trial. Apparently part of Curll's pornographic best-seller series: 'The cases of impotency debated', fabricated by one or more of his hack writers and falsely attributed to George Abbot, a deceased Archbishop of Canterbury, whose name appears on the titlepage to vol. 1.

The second Earl of Castlehaven was executed in 1631 for these crimes.
Uncontrolled note
This vol. lacks an edition statement, but was probably intended to be issued with the '3d ed.' of 1719
