Note
In fact written by Thomas Swadlin, who signs the note on C7r and the dedication at end. A parody of the work by Robert Ram, taking the same title, imprint, preface, and questions of the Ram work. In this version the answer to the first question reads: I am a Christian and a souldier: onely in this I differ: Christian souldiers fight against the flesh, the world, and the Devill; I that say I am a Christian and am knowne to be a souldier, fight for mine owne lusts: Jac: 4.1.

The words "1 the justification 2 the qualification" are bracketed together on title page.

The imprint is false; printed at Oxford by Henry Hall.

Running title reads: The souldiers catechisme.
