In three parts, each with separate dated title page, pagination, and register. Part 1 = Walton, Izaak. The compleat angler, the fifth edition much corrected and enlarged (also issued separately as Wing W666). Part 2 = Cotton, Charles. The compleat angler (includes Henry Brome's name in imprint; also issued separately as Wing C6381). Part 3 = Venables, Col. Robert. The experienced angler, the fourth edition much enlarged (also issued separately as Wing V185)

The first leaf (A1) bears the title page for part 1 on verso with the words "The compleat angler or the contemplative man's recreation" engraved in a decorative cartouche and the words "The first part" engraved and added below the cartouche. A2 bears general title page on recto; A3 bears the letterpress portion of title page for part 1 on recto, but without the engraved portion. Versos of A2 and A3 are blank
