Die Veneris 16 Julii 1647 Ordered by the Lords and Commons in Parliament assembled, that the Lord Mayor of of [sic] the city of London and justices of peace, and all other persons to whom it shall appertaine within the lines of communication and weekly bills of mortality, shall take speciall care to shut up the houses that are infected with the plague, and that some speciall marke be set up upon the doores, and to make provision for such as are or shall be shut up, within the houses and in the pest-houses within the said limits, for the better preventing of the spreading of the said infection; and herein speciall care is to be taken, as the contrary will be answered at their perils,
