- "Treasonable associations have been formed in Ulster and Sligo. A proclamation [not found] has been issued ordering them to disperse, and an army has been raised under Lieut.-Gen. Richard Hamilton. All persons are to lay down arms and submit to him, giving hostages if required. Those in Sligo to surrender to the Lord Deputy or to Col. MacDaniell at the Boyle. A full pardon offered to every one except Hugh, Earl of Mount Alexander, John, Lord Visct. Massereene, ..." -- Steele
