Most of the lives have portraits at the beginning and two of these are are included within the pagination and register (Phocion, 2L8v; Agis and Cleomenes, 3L8v). However, the portraits of Agesilaus, Pompey, Alexander, Julius Caesar, Cato, and Tiberius and Caius are plates. Most of the portraits are signed by M. Burghers
