A true and exact relation of the most dreadful earthquake which happened in the city of Naples, and several other parts of that kingdom, June the 5th, 1688. Whereby about forty cities and villages were either wholly ruin'd, or extreamly damnified; eight thousand persons destroy'd, and about eight hundred wounded; of which four hundred were digg'd out of the ruins, and many others miraculously preserved. Translated from the Italian copy, printed at Naples, by an eye-witness of those miserable ruins
