The letters are dated 18 Feb. 1667 and 12 Sept. 1679

"The Epistle" has caption, "To Mr. Henry Brome in St. Paul's Churchyard, London. Sir, ..." and is signed and dated on A2v: "29 May 1680. Your friend. N.N.". In a variant issue, "The Epistle" has caption, "The author to the stationer. Mr. Brome, ..." and is signed only, "Your friend." [i.e. without initials 'N.N']
