Attributed by Wing and many 19th century catalogues to James Heath (1629-1664) author of 'Flagellum'. The 1738 'Catalogus impressorum librorum bibliothecae Bodleianae' distinguishes this "J. Heath" from James Heath author of 'Flagellum'

'The preface to the reader' which mentions "our gracious king and queen" is signed "J. Heath"
