 Vol.4 is in two parts: 'Notes to the second and third books ...' with a titlepage dated 1767, and 'Notes on the fourth and fifth books ...' with a separate titlepage bearing the same date and imprint as vol.3. It ends with a separately paginated appendix to book 5, and errata to the whole
 Printed by William Bowyer over the course of at least ten years, with deliveries beginning as early as 1764; the number of copies recorded varies considerably, and his accounts are probably incomplete. Andrew Millar is also named as one of the original clients.
